Galavast was long and tiring, to my knowledge two people permanently died, and there were many resurrections. I think one of their names was Sir Alrion Westgate. and the other guys name was Roric i think. either roric or alric. Sorry guys, your names were confusing and you looked alike.

Can anyone confirm this? Is Sir Alrion no longer with us?
I would appreciate any information you could give me.

Leon Loud,
How dare you disrespect the dead by saying they looked alike! A dwarf does not look anything like an elf, nor the other way around. It would be best to show them their proper respect as per their customs.
To the two whose spirits left Tyrra, may your rest be peaceful.

nononono. You are misunderstanding me. There were two dwarf brothers that looked very similar, and i don't know which one was which.

Then would it not be best for the family members to make the announcement of their departing rather than one who knows nothing of them? Think young one before you talk. Disrespecting the dead, can lead to you joining them. Many don't take well to that.

Yes, Logenn, it's true. Sir Alrion took his final death at the gathering, in combat with mummies, I'm told. Baron Gorloch knows all of the details, as to do a few others. Formal announcements will probably be made in the very near future. Rorik, a dwarf, was the other being to die permanently at the gathering, but the details of his passing are unknown to me.

Leon,
Some day you mouth get you in BIG trouble. Many close to them who died not even know yet.. and then you put message on trees like this. Like you just sharing news or update over fence with you neighbor. Me have ignored most of jibber jabber on trees from you and many many others because you young and still have much to learn. but THIS... this me cannot over look. You obviously need lessons in manners and in how to handle situation like permanent death. So, you have few options... GO HOME TO MOMMY and ask her to teach you what you not learned yet... or SHUT UP until you figure out that it NOT OK to blab sensitive information like this over public trees. It disrespectful to family and friends of ones who are gone.

Rorc Ironblade was his name. He was a very old friend and now I regret not having taken the opportunity to spend more time with him recently. He was one of the last of a cadre of friends from a happy time in my past. Rorc was the kind of dwarf you couldn't help but like. Now he's joined Quilan, Mathis, Calyn and far too many others I knew in those days.

I was very pleased to see Rorc again. It too made me remember old times. He, Quilan, Mathis and the Damashays were generous and mentored me when I first came to these lands. I truly regret that I did not have a conversation with him when I had the opportunity. He even made my first set of blades in these lands. It is disheartening that his return should be so bittersweet.

Actually, Gizmo.. me take nothing back. Me sorry for loss but Leon can consider this him first lesson. You can take this as lesson, too, since you have same problem of opening mouth before using head. Free of charge and learned hard way.
It can HURT when someone speak without thinking first, can't it?

Viviann, you are correct, this posting was discourteous and crass. Never have I seen a death reported in a less gentle manner, save when it is reported by an enemy. Your lesson is just, I back you fully. Sir Brock Janson

Gizmo and Leon...
You shame yourselves by this behavior. I had thought you were both starting to outgrow it, but after having had time to sort through the parchments on this tree, I find I am sorely mistaken. ViviAnn, as does Sir Brock, I support your answers to these two. Sooner or later (sooner preferrably), they will learn what can become of harsh, not-thought-out replies to things they don't fully understand.
Sir Alrion and Rorc were both friends of mine, and yet again, Tyrra darkens twice over at the loss of two fine spirits. May they both find their ways to the halls of their ancestors, and their spirits be truly at peace.

Alright enough already. Yes Leon is dumb. We know that. Him and his friends have some idiotic idea that killing each other is a good idea and that they are clever. I certainly to not claim to like him or his behavior but come on already. What he wrote was not disrespectful at all, or at least not purposefully so. Dumb, ok, ill timed and poorly written, absolutely. But he is still a kid. Which of us learned tact and decorum at such a young age. he said nothing offensive that I saw, made somewhat of an apology, leave it be already. There was certainly no insult given towards either man.
I did not know Rorc and knew Sir Alrion only briefly but I mourn the loss of any honorable people. I believe young Leon also stood with us and fought to protect the ritual, so his deeds in this instance outweigh some ill chosen words to be sure. With what I knew of Sir Alrion, I wonder if he would rather have kind words of remembrance instead of the beating down of a child for poor timing and words and I am unsure which he would consider the greater insult.

I have seen people be far more purposeful hurtful than Leon in the face of others' grief. His words were not eloquent, but neither did they have malice in them. He even apologized for not being able to distinguish between the two dwarven brothers. Many of us are hurting at these two losses, but let's not continue with this. I feel that both those who died would rather we put our efforts to more worthy matters.

I have taken young Leon as an apprentice. The next time he insults someone, it will be intentional. If he falls out of line, I will punish him accordingly.
I highly recommend that instead of scolding young adventurers for their lack of etiquette, you take them under your wing and teach them. I spent many years of my adventuring life under the instruction of a master (non-elemental). Too many people these days learn how to slay before they learn their place. Thus, too many are beat down for running their mouth.
Regardless, Leon is now my ward and in my protection. If you have a problem with him, contact me directly.
