Im a bit confused, not a hard thing for me to become either. I have been told 2 different things and not sure which one is right. I couldnt find it in the rulebook either, granted i am missing a few pages.
Lets say you have a +2 damage aura weapon, and someone gives you a vorpal coating +4. Do you now have an extra +6 damage on your next swing? Also if you have mulitiple additives, like sharpening+1,vorpal coating+2 and a flame blade+4, do they all stack? So now you would have +7 and the dmage aura.
So my question is do Damge auaras stack with sharpenings/vorpal coatings/enchanted blade spells? And can they stack by themselves?
Hope this makes since

I believe they all stack, except for sharpening and magical bonus. So it would be +2 damage aura, + 4 vorpal, and Flameblade +4 for a total of 10+normal weapon damage. Keep in mind that the vorpal coating and the flameblade are good for only one swing.
Nothing stacks with itself, say multiple vorpal coatings...actually, I don't think you can even use more than one vorpal/flame/whatever on the same swing. You are allowed three blade enhancements on your person, and three coatings on your weapon...some weapon coatings require a poison bladed weapon. I do not believe vorpal coatings do though.

You've got a few questions in there, Rob, and I'll address the ones that I know for sure:
#1. Sharpenings do NOT stack with any damage auras, and that ruling came straight from International (yes, let's not go into how International is, etc. etc. etc.).
#2. Doug's right, you can only have 3 enhancements on your weapon (endows/greater endows count as one, btw) - however, according to the rulebook, if you're dealing with blade spells - "The spell may be stacked with other Endow/Blade spells (maximum three spells total), but the spells will only work one at a time. It does not allow you to hurt a monster that can only be damaged by magical weapons." That was from the spell Flame (Now Elemental) Blade. However, you would be able to use one SPELL and one ALCHEMICAL substance in conjunction with each other, not two alchemical substances or two spells.
Hope that helps.
